Community Learning and Development Practitioner Consultation Brief – March 2021
As a Community Learning and Development (CLD) practitioner and/or volunteer in Glasgow you will be aware we have a statutory duty to produce a CLD Plan every three years. The next plan for 2021-24 will be published in September this year. This is your opportunity to feed into the plan and help shape the priorities. The current plan is governed by Glasgow CLD Strategic Partnership and at their meeting in February 2021 the partnership agreed to the following:
- Refresh the current strategy (rather than re-write)
- Include COVID-19 recovery work as part of the plan
- Recognise the emerging priorities from COVID-19 of mental health and employability
- Recognise the importance to tackling health inequalities and poverty
- Keep the three high level priority areas that are aligned to the city priorities
- Economic Recovery and Growth (more focus will be placed on Recovery
- Resilient Communities
- A Fairer More Equal Glasgow.
- Retain two other high level cross cutting CLD priorities
- Strengthening and Embedding CLD
- Continuous Improvement
We really appreciate your contributions to this survey. Your opinions and ideas are important to us. Your participation will help us improve support to practitioners and shape CLD planning. In particular, we want to know the impact that COVID-19 has made on your practice and development needs.
No names or other personal data will be collected and you will not be identifiable from your responses.
